2022 Mazda RX-VISION New Design
RX-VISION is a beautiful representation of the FR sports car, as it can only be imagined by Mazda. The style is contemporary but keeps a sense and authenticity, and encapsulates Mazda’s heritage of design for sports cars. A wide and low body, short overhangs, and a tight cabin make the car instantly recognizable as an athletic car. This is a combination of the slim overall height and extremely low hood that is possible thanks to the light and compact new generation SKYACTIV-R rotary engine, which creates unique proportions.
The idea behind the design was to eliminate any unnecessary elements and create the lively tension and atmosphere of a machine that is completely business-oriented. The exquisite craftsmanship of Mazda’s famous clay modelers produce reflections that communicate motion and thus capture the essence of KODO design language, without having to rely on the lines of characters or other elements. It’s an elegant and essential design that alters its appearance with the slightest shift in the angle at which it is viewed. A particular red selected as the body color has the energy of brightness as well as depth. It enhances the luster and contrast of shadow and light that is visible with the RX-VISION. Interior
Interiors are where the designers aimed to create a simple but effective design by combining the feel of hand-crafted work and refined mechanical design. The intricate instruments give the cockpit a real mechanical look, and together with the plain dashboard and authentic leather trims with a saddle design to the central tunnel creates an ambiance inside that is a reflection of the handcrafted warmth and high-end craftsmanship while maintaining the feeling of tension.
Engine
The next-generation SKYACTIV R motor is designed to be a rotary engine that aims towards the future. To create the perfect internal combustion motor, Mazda went back to drawing boards and designed the gasoline engine SKYACTIV-G and SKYACTIV D diesel engine from scratch.
2022 Mazda RX-VISION Review
After the end of production for the RX-8 in 2012, Mazda continued research and development to further improve the engine’s rotary. The new engine has been named the SKYACTIV-R name, which is intended to reflect the company’s strong determination to apply the most modern technologies and the same high expectations which led to SKYACTIV technology to make an innovation in the treatment of three major issues associated with rotary engines- the efficiency of their fuel consumption as well as emissions performance, and reliability.
