The U2023 definition says that incorrect information was received from another module. U-codes are not easy to track down. Code needs to be active to diagnose and you need a full scanner that can access all the modules on the vehicle. Usually with communication or network codes the module at fault will not communicate with scanner

I used a code scanner on his vehicle and pulled 3 codes – the first two for right and left front wheel speed sensor, and the third (listed under the "steering" category, at least on the app I was using) was U2023, apparently a communication failure between the instrument cluster and "some other module".
